C.C.GREEN The Songwriter:
My name is Craig and I hail from Blackpool Lancashire UK. I have been
playing in bands for years but after a time doing cover songs became
boring and unfulfilling, so in 2002 I decided to start writing my own material.
Having submitted a selection to the
Guild of International
Songwriters & Composers, and receiving favorable response from their assessment service
that they offer I decided to continue writing material.
I entered the
prestigious UK songwriting contest that is held annually in the UK and
was rewarded with Finalist entry in 2003 with the song
Mexican Madness My 2004
entry entitled
Free Spirit was also a Finalist. In
2005 I was a Finalist with the songs The
Rio Grande , Moving On and
Terminal Velocity.
2006 entry entitled
Moon Pie
was a Semi Finalist. The 2007
entries
Falling Away and
I Don't Know
Why produced 2 Highly Commended
awards. I have not entered any more of my material since 2007 as I am
now concentrating on performing my material with "The Elijah Craig
Band''

Hi, and welcome this section of
the website is for my band 'The Elijah Craig Band'. We're from the North West of
UK playing acoustic sets of original material written by the multiple UK
International Songwriting Contest Finalist C.C.Green.
The Band
The band formed
early 2009 from the fortuitous meeting of Craig and Nick, and after a number
of playing sessions the seeds of "The Elijah Craig Band" took shape.We now had the
basis of the sound we were trying to develop. We realised that we had the perfect musical platform to showcase our songs, whilst
Craig's musical/playing influences are blues orientated, Nicks' playing is nearer to
a folk style, and the differing combinations created some interesting
musical variances. We later enrolled the services of James Thomson for
subtle keyboard fills (James has a wealth of musical experience) and added some
percussion in the way of bongos etc from 'The Monk', We now had the format
that we wanted!. So after a number of casual setup gigs to iron out sound and
arrangement issues The Elijah Craig Band is now ready for you - the wider
audience. The selection of material played `is a collection of songs written
over a period of about 5 years, most of which have been UK International
Songwriting award winners. The songs cover a wide range of topics typical of lifes journey stories of love, loss spirituality and choices - we hope you
like them - we do! Also it's all original material. So spread the word - peace
to you all - from Elijah Craig Band.

represent those of us who are not money orientated and for those of us
that don't seem to fit into mainstream society. There seems to be a
thought that your worth as a person is linked to personal wealth and
class, We don't believe this is so. Be comfortable with yourself and the
way that you live your life.
All you can do in this life is
leave a footprint, do what you feel is right and help those less
fortunate than yourself, so peace to you all and remember the universe
has room for you - and you are doing what you were meant to do. It's a
Karma Thing!!!
